My mother-in-law's 80th birthday is in the offing. As a way of celebrating her birthday her clan of eight children and their families have been secretly planning and coordinating a birthday bash for her. We planned on having a Filipiniana theme complete with folk dancing and choral rendition if my mother-in-law's favorite Filipino songs. The picture on the left shows some vintage Filipino costumes from the University of the Philippines exhibit. I am the main event coordinator and I have been on my toes for almost a month now supervising and coordinating rehearsals, costumes, props, bookings of venue and caterers and the likes. Today, I finalized the invitation layout and ordered about 75 pieces for our 200 or so guests. I am so tired but quite in my elements.
